Chris Coleman resigned as Wales team manager on 17 November 2017 and was appointed team manager at Sunderland. After nearly two months of managerial vacancy, former Wales national player Ryan Giggs was named Wales' new manager. Giggs, who signed a four-year contract, led Wales for the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League campaign and Euro 2020 qualification.
